Day five- Roclincourt

Hello world,
This morning Vi and I got up at around 10AM and got ready for the day. Then we headed downstairs and began preparing for Veera and Mafa's going away party this evening. Vi and I put drinks in the fridge, set up tables in the yard, and helped Veera and Mafa make their native dishes. Andrea (another exchange student from Mexico and longtime friend of Mafa)came to help make the tortillas & cheese, dips, and mexican cake. Veera, Vi, and I made Finnish cinnemon rolls and rice cakes with Veera. That took us all afternoon and up until the party at 8PM. I had to go upstairs and change because I got dough all over me. Haha. Anyway, the party was fun. Lots of people were there (around 50 or so?) including people from my class 1L1 two years ago--Alexandra, Amelie R., and Marine. Then Antoine and his girlfriend were there, so was Elise Caby, Vincent, and Pierre-Antoine..all friends from the village. I got to see Luc as well!! He's the playwright that lives in Paris and goes to Quebec on a regular basis. That was pretty neat. He gave me a copy of one of his plays. :) I mostly hung out with Annick, Pierre-Antoine, Antoine, his girlfriend, Elise, and Vi. We ate and talked and the last guests didn't leave until about 1AM. There are 6 girls still here that are spending the night. They are sleeping upstairs with Veera and Mafa, so we gave up our room next door to theirs and are sleeping in Pierre's room on the floor below for the night, while he sleeps in my host mom's room. But like I said, it's late..almost 2AM now! And tomorrow Antoine and Pierre-Antoine invited us to a parade, so we have to be up and moving by 2PM. haha.
a demain!
Miranda
